You can’t perform X action and expect Y result immediately or directly—even though there are best practices that, together, can have a positive influence on your domain authority. This is because SEO ranking factors are multitudinous, interrelated, and complex.
Still, if you’re struggling in your SEO campaign with stagnant results or no forward momentum, there are a handful of tricks you to give yourself a short-term boost.
- Reach out to a new guest content platform. Reach out to a new source where you can post guest content. You’ll get an injection of new traffic, new brand visibility, and probably a link as well.
- Build new links on high-authority sites. The old links just aren’t cutting it, so try getting some new links on a .edu or .gov domain. It’s easier said than done, but the extra effort is worth it.
- Post new long-form content relevant to your brand. Long-form content, which features 1,000 words or more, is often a major source of new attention, new traffic, and new links. Find a topic and format that are relevant for your audience.
- Experiment with new mediums of content. If you’re used to posting the same old, same old, shake things up by including something new. An image, or video, or audio file could inject new life into your content campaign.
- Build out new pages for your site. The caveat here is that your new pages must be relevant to your brand and useful to your readers. Find something new to offer your visitors, and give it to them.
Keep in mind that there are no real shortcuts or secrets in SEO; if you want to see results, you have to maintain consistent best practices consistently over the course of months (and years). These boosts are meant only as short-term influencers that can help speed up your progress along the right path.
